Guarding the Flock, Secure in His Word

There are wolves among the sheep in the flock of God’s people.

I am sure you know why they are there. Wolves consider sheep easy prey. They consume them for their own pleasure. Leaving behind confusion, destruction and death. For those sheep who survive the attack, there remains fear, doubt and distrust of the security the flock once offered. There is also a loss of confidence in the shepherd, whose job it was to protect them from wolves in the first place.

In this message, taken from Acts 20:28-32, we find the Apostle Paul warning the shepherds of the church in the strongest way that he can, that “savage wolves” will come in among the sheep, not sparing the flock.  They will arise, even from within, speaking perverse things to draw the sheep away from the truth – so that they will follow their lies.

It has happened. It will happen. It is happening in churches today.

In today’s message we will consider not only Paul’s warning to the church, but also his admonishment to the church on how to secure the church from attack. I pray this message gives you great encouragement as we all work together to walk confidently in God’s unfailing truth.
