The Word of God instructs us ALL to be capable and ready to give a testimony and provide a defense of the things we trust by faith. But it also teaches us to do so with a Christ-like attitude!
"Always be prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect." 1 Peter 3:15
In last week’s message we discussed the biblical instruction to us all to be prepared when called on. We also discussed the instruction to us all to be actively sharing the Gospel in this fallen world.
This week, we watch as Paul continues while caught up in the middle of a confrontation. He finds himself the center of attention, caught between Jewish zealots and the Roman Republic.
In today’s lesson I hope we learn how to have Christ-like Control in Confrontation. By this I mean that we would learn how to control ourselves, so that we might demonstrate the attitude of Christ to others when we find ourselves in the middle of the storm.
Jesus teaches us; “Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.” Matthew 10:16
The church exists in perilous times. Join me in this lesson from ACTS 22:24 – 23:11 and I pray we all learn from God’s instruction.
