Over the past few sermons, in Acts 20:17-38 we have been looking at Apostle Paul’s final meeting with leaders of the Church in Ephesus. We have looked at his encouragement and counsel for them to watch out for themselves as they watch over the sheep that are the flock of God’s redeemed people. A flock purchased with the blood of Christ.

We have also looked at Paul’s warning that dangerous influencers, wolves, will always be around. Seeking to lead unwary, unprotected sheep astray from outside, and from within.

In today’s message we see Paul’s teaching not only in his words, but by his life. Paul’s message to the shepherds of the flock is to live intentionally, in humility, with generosity and in obedience to God’s instruction.

Together these messages produce a solid and strong foundation for raising up humble shepherds and healthy sheep. I pray this message encourages you as much in receiving it as it gave to me as I prepared it. To God be the glory!
