It was and is inevitable. There can be only one true God.
From all history, in all cultures, mankind has tried to define who the supreme divine authority is. Whenever these cultures clash, violence has followed. The most curious thing is that when regarding the God of scripture, His counsel was to love our enemies and forgive those who persecute us – as He has forgiven those who come to Him by faith – forgiving their sins by His grace, through their faith in Him.
In today’s message, we find Paul in Ephesus, confronted by those who felt his teaching of the God of the scriptures and Jesus as the Christ as a direct threat not to their theology, but to their wallet.
Such has often been the resistance to the truth of the word of God. Where one must choose between the wealth of the world – and the riches found in faith for Christ Jesus and salvation.
We can only serve one Master, and in today’s message we will take that challenge head on. Join us in Acts 19:21-41
