Jesus declared, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.” (Matt. 5:9)
God has many expectations for those who declare His name by faith and proclaim to be His people. Among them, is that His people should be known for having an attitude of reconciliation – as God has demonstrated an attitude of reconciliation toward all those who proclaim faith in Him.
While never compromising with evil – we who are blessed by God’s grace to have received His reward – are told we have been given the ministry of reconciliation (2 Cor. 5:18-19)–We are to declare God’s truth in a way that encourages others to see their accountability to God. Yet we are told to do so and if possible, as far as it depends on us, to live at peace with everyone. (Rom 12:18)
This especially applies within the church! In today’s lesson from Acts 21:15-26, we are going to see the beginnings of a struggle that Paul had as he found himself at the center of a conflict within the church. Join us as we look into trials that the church can face. I hope that through this lesson you learn to see the proper attitude that God expects from His people and find tools and applications to help you on the way. To God be the Glory!
