John 9:1-41 The Blind Shall See

This Sunday, we enter John 9:1–41—one of the most dramatic, encouraging, and visually stunning encounters in all of Scripture.

When Jesus and His disciples pass by a man blind from birth the disciples saw a man suffering the consequences of sin. But Jesus sees a man on whom the glorious work of God would be displayed.

By Jesus’ word and through the man’s faith, the Light of the World turns a life of lifelong darkness into an unshakeable testimony of grace.

As we walk verse-by-verse through this miraculous sign, we’ll explore:

  1. The Sovereign Purpose of Suffering: How God uses our greatest afflictions to manifest His divine power and glory.
  2. A Faith That Grows Under Fire: How a once blind simple beggar stood toe-to-toe with the religious elite and proclaimed, "One thing I do know, that though I was blind, now I see!"
  3. The Danger of Self-Righteous Pride: Why recognizing our own spiritual helplessness is the key to receiving true, saving vision.
  4. The Faithful Response to Sovereign Grace: Where once we were all spiritually blind and walking in darkness, we have all been given the opportunity to respond in faith and worship the Lord!

Whether you are seeking answers in the middle of a dark season or longing to deepen your worship of the Savior, there is a place for you here. Come ready to be challenged, refreshed, and anchored in the Word of God.
