What an amazing week we are walking through in these sermons right now!

It began in John 1:10, when a group of Pharisees questioned John the Baptist to see if he would claim to be the Christ or one of the prophets. 

John had replied, “I am A VOICE OF ONE CRYING IN THE WILDERNESS, ‘MAKE STRAIGHT THE WAY OF THE LORD,’ as Isaiah the prophet said.”

The next day, as we read in John 1:29, Jesus of Nazareth was identified by John the Baptist as “the Lamb of God, come to take away the sins of the world!”

And the next day, Andrew, and his friend John, who would one day write this gospel, turned from following John the Baptist to follow Jesus, who seeing them asked that fundamental question in John 1:38, “What do you seek?”

• The answer was, they were seeking Jesus!
  • Having had the faith to believe John’s message, they demonstrated the faith to seek Jesus!

Having spent some time with Jesus, they were convinced and committed. 

This week we continue in The Gospel According to John as the message of Jesus goes from Invitational, to Vocational. "Come and see" becomes "Follow Me." It is a question we must all come to terms with. Once you have heard, will you believe? And if you have believed, will you follow Him?
